COMPETITION

Participants of the Interactive Youth Forum will be asked to advance their own ideas by proposing an advertising campaign on one of the following topics: possible way out to today’s security crises; the need for taking action against climate change; living in a world with AI.

Young participants proposing the best 40 campaigns are appointed G20 Global Ambassadors. The projects will be selected by experts from Bocconi University, Cariplo Foundation and ISPI.

G20 SIMULATION GAME

23 – 25 May | Milan

The selected 40 students take part in virtual preparation lessons from April 19 to May 10 on Rules of Procedures, Negotiation, Public Speaking, as well as in in-depth sessions on the topic of the Simulation.

From the 23rd to the 25th of May, the 40 G20 Global Ambassadors gather in Milan to play the role of the Sherpas during the simulation of the G20 Summit organized by ISPI. They spend three days of various rounds of negotiations on the most pressing global issues with the aim of drafting a Final Declaration of the 2023 G20 Presidency.

The Ambassadors have full access to the Global Policy Forum co-hosted by ISPI, Bocconi University and OECD, to be held in Milan on 22-23 May.

Students of the top three campaigns are also awarded with one of the following prizes: free access to a Diploma/Certificate from the ISPI School, or cost-free access to the ninth edition of the Rome MED Dialogues conference in Rome.

FAQ

What are the requirements to participate?

▪ Age: between 20 and 25 years old (born between the 1st of January 1998 and the 31st of December 2003 included).
▪ Nationality: Italian and international students resident in Europe.
▪ Be sure you are available for all sessions of the Interactive Youth Forum: participation is compulsory to obtain the certificate of attendance and to take part in the Competition.
▪ Be curious and proactive!

If I was among the participants of the previous editions, can I apply?

Of course, you can! If you were among the 40 G20 Global Ambassadors of the previous editions you cannot take part in the competition.

How will the event take place?

The Interactive Youth Forum will take place in a virtual format (Zoom platform). The G20 Simulation Game and the Global Policy Forum will be held in Milan (May 22-25).

How much does it cost?

Participation to each stage of the project is completely free (Interactive Youth Forum, Competition and G20 Simulation Game). If you will be selected as one of the 40 G20 Global Ambassadors, please note that travel expenses and the hotel will be covered by ISPI (except for city-transportation in Milan).

What is the Global Policy Forum?

▪ The 3rd edition of the Global Policy Forum (GPF) is co-hosted by ISPI, Bocconi University and OECD.
▪ The GPF will be held in a hybrid format at the Bocconi University in Milan on 22-23 May.
▪ This international event will bring together high-level personalities, political leaders and top experts to discuss pressing global challenges, such as digital transition, climate change and international cooperation.
▪ The GPF also aims to provide sound and actionable policy proposals to G20 leaders.
